Maple Peas are ideal as hook bait or on hair rigs. They can be used on their own, or together with hemp seeds as a ground bait.
They also lend themselves to flavourings as an extra attractant.
They can be used throughout the year.
To prepare the maple peas, soak for 12-24 hours. Add sugar to the water and add any flavouring you require. Then bring to the boil and simmer for around 15 minutes. The maple peas should be soft but not mushy. After preparation the maple peas can be frozen for storage. They can be mixed with hemp before the preparation stages.
